Heart Clogger

New Burger King breakfast offering outdoes Whopper - Mar. 29, 2005: “The No. 2 fast food chain debuted its Enormous Omelet Sandwich Monday. The sandwich has one sausage patty, two eggs, two American cheese slices and three strips of bacon.

That works out to 730 calories and 47 grams of fat — more than a Whopper sandwich, which the Burger King Web site said has 700 calories and 42 grams of fat.

Sounds kinda like the Good Morning Burger, from the Simpsons:
“We take eighteen ounces of sizzling ground beef, and soak it in rich, creamery butter, then we top it off with bacon, ham, and a fried egg. We call it the Good Morning Burger.”

Tablet Hotels: Unique Hotels for Global Nomads

Tablet Hotels: Unique Hotels for Global Nomads: A really nice looking site. It might make you want to save up for your next vacation and pretend like you are part of the WallPaper* crowd (or not).

Excessive?

Ultramarathoner pushes limits of the human body:

“NEW YORK (Reuters) — Pondering life on his 30th birthday and finding something lacking, Dean Karnazes staggered home from a night out drinking with friends, put on his gardening shoes and went for a run. A 30-mile run. All night.

When he survived that, he set his sights on a 100-mile race. Then 135 miles. Then 199 miles. Then a marathon at the South Pole. Last summer he completed 262 miles non-stop.”

Brutal. And my run of 4.5 miles yesterday left me a bit sore today.

It’s the best one I’ve seen, anyway.

Laptop-to-Laptop Transfer on OS X

Wow. That was too easy. I am up and running on a brand spanking new laptop with all my old applications copied via the Setup Assistant Firewire app. I seem to recall Matt Haughey (who has his own WikiPedia entry, by the way - I need to get one of those) complaining about the nightmare of transferring years of work and play from one computer to another.

So far, so good here. Nice work Apple!

Ahhh… that new Apple smell.

Know what I mean?

Not Sure if it’s funny… but it’s true!

An in depth report on the phenomenon of yelling ‘Freebird!’ at bands , done by the Wall Street Journal no-less.

Fave Quote: “Mr. Van Zant has a confession: His wife persuaded him to see Cher in Jacksonville a couple of years ago, and he couldn’t resist yelling “Freebird!” himself. “My wife is going, ‘Stop! Stop!’ ” he recalls, laughing. “I embarrassed the hell out of her.”

Stella loves Pocky, and we pick some up every time we go to the Oriental Market. And who wouldn’t, especially after watching a batch of wacky Pocky commercials from Japan.
