Bush The Unpopular
“…a majority of voters approve of Bush in just four states–Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and Nebraska”

April 20th, 2006 cata-wha?
“Hi. I am going door to door giving FREE breast exams. Would you like one?”
Apparantly, some did, and were shocked - SHOCKED! - that the offer was not legit.

A Tasteful MySpace?
April 18th, 2006 cata-wha?
Ok. That might be asking for a bit much, but Mike Davidson has done the world a favor and provided a way for kids to get their social networking on in style. Like so.
In no particular order…

-
100 years ago, our adopted city went up in smoke. Actually, the house we live in survived, and we live near the little fire hydrant that could. Tomorrow morning (in a few hours, actually), all but the heaviest sleepers will be roused by churchbells and sirens sounding at 5:14AM. See also SF Rising and Quake stuff at SFGate. -
great art. need money.
- The boom is back? - Looks like we moved to SF just in time. Let the decadence begin! Or at least a few Sorren prints…
- Students toss tampons with phone numbers at comedian Sagat - poor guy. Wait a sec….
- The Final Countdown - Hopefully, the FINAL Final Countdown. Ouch. (My first You Tube link - sorry, too terrible to pass up.)
Bring Your Own Big Wheel 2006
April 16th, 2006 San Francisco, random
Wonderful silliness today in San Francisco with the annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel race down Lombard St - the most crooked street in the world. There was just enough rain to make it somewhat dangerous. We missed the first race but had a great view of the last two. The sun came out. There was a rainbow. A good time was had by all - near as I could tell

Monolingual
April 15th, 2006 osx
Monolingual is a pretty neat app for you OS X users who want to reclaim a bit of hard drive space. It goes through your system and removes localization files for languages you probably don’t speak. It allows you to check which languages you want to remove, in the event that you do need to make use of Armenian, or whatever your first, second or third language may be.
Plus, it’s free! Pretty sweet. (Stumbled upon via allforces)
Back to blog
April 11th, 2006 cata-wha?
another theme switch-a-roo, this time a quick install of simpla, which drives like a blog. yet to look under the hood, but i assume it’ll be fairly customizable.
other things to note:
- Precision Skateboards has a website. Tell Phil to send some words for it.
- Stella smashed her face into the corner of the kitchen counter last night. We were kind of waiting for that to happen. I felt pretty bad as I was pumping her up to come dance to the old-school Snoop Dogg XM Radio channel for one last go-round. No permanent damage, but little girls with bloody faces are a major bummer.
- Will it ever not rain in San Francisco?
- Lincolnblog escaped near death, while Caulfield Records is in some disarray.
- note to self: just buy Mars Edit and NetNewsWire, already
- or maybe just set up reblog? (oh… that was easy.)
