dropclock screensaver

DROPCLOCK is a very cool screensaver. I am mildly bummed that I don’t have an Intel machine at work to show this off.

my curators

I stumbled across a good post from Steve Rubel where he articulates the notion of the web’s curators. For years, I’ve followed various bloggers for their unique filters on the web, (Andy Baio, Jason Kottke, Andre Torrez). At their best, these collectors of pointers across the web do live up to the the term. I find them immensely valuable, not to mention entertaining and enlightening. Fun, even!

My del.icio.us network feed consolidates the work of most of my favorite link curators. It is far and away my most read source in Google Reader.

And how did I find Steve’s post? Via links from my del.cio.us network, of course.

Apple forbids Windows users from installing Safari for Windows

From The Register: “Apple’s Safari license says that users are permitted to install the browser on no more than ‘a single Apple-labeled computer at a time.’ This means that if you install Safari for Windows on a Windows PC, you’re violating the license.”

Veganizing Bourdain

Hezbollah Tofu is on a mission to improve, and veaganize, recipes from Anthony Bourdain.

I’m not a vegetarian anymore, but these could still be fun to try.

Muxtape

Everybody’s bloggin about Muxtape. It looks pretty cool, but I don’t see an option for RSS/Podcast delivery, which would make it A++ 110% super perfect.

Till then, listen to the m1xtap3!

The Subprime Crisis

So, how ugly could things get with this whole ‘Subprime Crisis’ issue you’ve been hearing about? According to this article, pretty damn ugly. Especially if we hit the recession, rising interest rates, and falling home prices trifecta.

BYOBW2008

It’s Easter Sunday, and that means grown ups on Big Wheels racing down a San Francisco street.

This year, the annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel (BYOBW) race was held at the REAL crookedest street in San Francisco, Vermont Street, in Potrero Hill.

My little Lumix was pushed to the limit for these shots. I had fun taking them, but damn, I need a DSLR.

Here is my set of photos at Flickr.

As usual, Scott Beale has some great shots of the event.

I am resolving to go to the Blue Bottle Cafe this week and get some coffee from their

It’s only a few blocks from work, after all…
